“Info-Days on Accreditation for University Staff” were held in Ankara

 

“Info-Days on Accreditation for University Staff” were held in Ankara on 22 and 23 December 2021 as a hybrid event.

TÜRKAK Deputy Secretary Generals Kürşat Özdemir and Serhat Gök made the opening speeches at the seminars.

On the first day of the seminar, TÜRKAK Deputy Secretary General Kürşat Özdemir made the opening speech. Özdemir emphasized that it would be beneficial for Turkey for universities to show interest in the field of accreditation and turn to this field. Özdemir stated that TÜRKAK attaches great importance to the subject of accreditation in academic studies, to cover this field more broadly in the curriculum and to graduate students better equipped about accreditation.

On the second day of the seminar, Deputy Secretary General Serhat Gök made the opening speech. Gök stated that there are 70 university units among the bodies accredited by TÜRKAK. He emphasized that accreditation is the most valuable method to express competence and security in trade. Gök said that TÜRKAK's wish is for universities to develop cooperation with the sector and to further increase the number of accredited university units.

10% of TURKAK's Assessor and Technical Expert staff works for universities

TÜRKAK cooperates with the Assessor and Technical Expert Pool, which includes more than 1500 experienced people within the scope of accreditation services. 10% of the pool consists of university staff. More than 15% of TÜRKAK's external instructor staff consists of university staff.

The event attracted great interest

The event, where presentations were made by experts in their fields, addressing many issues such as accreditation services, accreditation infrastructure in Turkey, accreditation processes and the benefits of accreditation, attracted great attention. At the event, information about the Accreditation Assesor and Technical Expert processes was also shared with the participants. More than 600 participants showed interest in the event, which was held as a hybrid.
